Data Quality Checks Before Transmission

One wrong data element in a large shipment can mean correcting and re-filing thousands of parcels. DMS checks the critical data before anything is sent to CBP:

• Container number validation: catches an error before it spreads to every parcel in the container.
• MID validation: Manufacturer IDs are cross-checked with U.S. Customs to confirm they are valid.
• HTSUS validation: HS codes are checked against the current U.S. HTSUS. Codes that do not exist are flagged in advance.
• AI goods description check: AI reviews each product description and flags any that do not meet CBP requirements.

Reconciliation & Review

Statistics and cross-checks confirm that every filing is complete and consistent:

• Air: Air AMS is matched against the airline's filing.
• Ocean: House bills are matched to the carrier's master bill, and every ISF is matched to its AMS.
• Warnings for incomplete filings.
• Release / Hold alerts.
